Your journey begins at the Bright and Beautiful shop, where you will meet Lisa and the rest of the wedding planning team and get a brief overview of how we make the magic happen.
There we will discuss either what venues you are interested in visiting or you can tell us what are your “must haves” for your perfect wedding venue so that we can suggest venues from our portfolio that will make your dreams a reality.
Once you have decided which locations you would like to visit, we will take you on an exciting journey to those venues and discuss the merits of each of them. During the drive we will provide water and also a small bottle of prosecco to help celebrate the day that you found your perfect “We Do” Venue !

Our Village Tour
Are you ready to embark on an adventure that will take you off the beaten path? If so, then come and join us for the Local Village Tour, brought to you by the team at Bright and Beautiful.
Our journey begins at the Bright and Beautiful shop, where you will meet our team and get a brief overview of our history. From there, we will take you on a fascinating exploration of the charming local villages that surround Alykanas. These villages are anything but ordinary and are sure to surprise and delight you in equal measure.
Our first stop is a mere eight minutes from Alykanas, where we will visit a local family who have transformed their land into an extraordinary income source. We don't want to give too much away, but suffice it to say that you are in for a treat! The hospitality of this local family will make for a beautiful experience.
Next, we will head to another local village and visit an old museum, where you will learn about how past residents lived their lives. Spoiler alert: their way of life was very different from our modern-day conveniences. You will be amazed at how they managed to survive without the amenities we take for granted today!
We will then visit a local church where miracles happen with water. Yes, you heard that right! You'll have to see it to believe it.
As we drive through the other villages, we will make pit stops and introduce you to the local culture and traditions. You'll get a glimpse of the past lives of the locals, and experience what life is like in these charming villages. Who knows, you might even spot someone you know!

Out in the Sticks
The Out in the Sticks Tour by Bright and Beautiful is not your average tour. It's a unique chance to immerse yourself in the beauty and authenticity of Zakynthos and see the island in a way that few visitors get to experience. Join us on this unforgettable journey and discover the real Zakynthos – the unmodern and unrealistic one!
Starting at the Bright and Beautiful shop, you'll learn about the company, what we do and how we do it. Then, we’ll start with a venture out into the countryside, where we'll visit local places of interest. Our first stop is a beautiful boutique winery, where they have turned their land into a source of income in the most extraordinary way. You'll be amazed by the ingenuity and resourcefulness of the locals as they show you how they live off the land and create beautiful works of art and culture.
But that's just the beginning! We'll then make our way up into the mountains to a remote village where time stands still. Here, we'll stop at a local cafe and museum, where you'll learn about how the locals and how they lived in the past and how their traditions are kept alive within families. You'll see how they embrace natural, uncomplicated, and unmaterialistic lives that are a far cry from the fast-paced modern world.
After we journey deeper into the heart of the mountains, we'll reach a local nunnery that few have ever seen. You'll be amazed at the natural, uncomplicated, and unmaterialistic way of life. You can witness first-hand how the nuns live, a simple and spiritual path surviving solely from their own hands and living from the land. This is a rare opportunity to experience a way of life that has changed very little over the centuries. We stop for a light lunch lovingly prepared by the Nuns and then make our way back to Alykanas

Taking you out in the sticks of Zakynthos begin at 10am from our Bright & Beautiful Shop in Alykanas. The tour lasts for a total of 4 hours, meaning you’ll be back in Alykanas for around 4pm (enough time for a quick swim before heading out for dinner!)

First stop is a local olive oil factory in Lithakia, where you can see how the world-renowned olive oil is made. Taste some of the local delicacies and beauty products made from the oil before we move on to one of the most photographed islands on Zakynthos. Here you can walk across the famous bridge and take in the breathtaking views. Maybe you'll even witness a wedding ceremony, as the island is a popular venue for weddings.
After visiting the charming village of Kampi, we'll stop for a delicious lunch at a local restaurant with stunning views over a cliff-top bay. Don't forget your camera! We'll then head to Anafonitria to see the Monastery of Agias Dionysis of Zakynthos, which offers a fascinating glimpse into the island's cultural heritage. On the way back, we'll visit the beautiful Xigia beach for some amazing photo opportunities.

Visit the church Agios Nikolaos which is located on Anemodouri hill in the village of Ano Gerakario and enjoy a beautiful, breath-taking view. From here you can admire the valley, sea, sky, mountains, traditional houses, farms and coastal villages that unfold before you. From one point you see the lush green valley of Zakynthos and its dense vegetation, vineyards, trees and farm houses that extend up until the mountains and then from the other side you see the sea and the coastal villages that stretch from Alykes to Vasilikos. The location of the church gives you the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful tapestry like scenery which reaches as far as the eye can see. Get ready for an unforgettable evening tour that will take you up to the mountaintop for a panoramic view of the entire island, including Alykanas and Alykes. You can see for miles ….
